Springsteen was jokingly referenced as a former drum corps member some years back, but I haven't seen any other proof that he marched.
Fran Haring
http://www.app.com/story/news/local/helpinghands/2016/02/25/ron-leggatt-homeless-coffee-lakewood/80800950/ I don't know if this man's story can be believed or not. It would be three hours long, with garbled voiceover lyrics.
BRASSO
http://www.app.com/story/news/local/helpinghands/2016/02/25/ron-leggatt-homeless-coffee-lakewood/80800950/ I don't know if this man's story can be believed or not. I would say that anyone that pours hot coffee over their head more than likely has had many years of their brain cells not quite in full working order up there and is now probably feeling no pain there. I think we would've heard by now if Springsteen was ever in Drum Corps. But who knows.
skevinp
Tramps like us, baby we were born to march.
Eleran
I always thought some of his songs would be appropriate for Jersey Surf, if rights were obtainable and not excessively expensive.
Ghost
It would be three hours long, with garbled voiceover lyrics. But the sax solos would be great.
Northern Thunder
I just got to thinking that perhaps Bruce was a corpsmate of Madonna's.
DAvery
I just got to thinking that perhaps Bruce was a corpsmate of Madonna's. And they both marched in the Bridgemen.
N.E. Brigand
Springsteen's autobiography is going to be published in September, so you may learn more then.
Northern Thunder
I guess there is a possibility of Springsteen being a member of a church corps (I know Freehold supposedly had such a corps years ago). This probably would have been a non-competitive unit, and Springsteen's involvement may have been for a very short time. The ages of this gentleman and Springsteen would indeed have been one year apart, as stated in the story, and the fact that he said Thursday night was drum corps rehearsal night makes sense.
