TOC/NightBEAT Winston-Salem, NC - July 30

Agree, the microphones aren't properly balanced. I can get all the volume I want . . .  using a Fiio amplifier into excellent Sennheiser headphones. Hopefully, the Flo technicians will get things worked out soon.

Unfortunately, the samplings are coming through loud and clear.  It's the corps that is barely audible.

Same here.  Anything that is miked (e.g. solos) is coming through clearly.   The corps body sounds like they are warming up in the lot.

The brass band that played the national anthem was louder than it is now.

I'm not a sound engineer so someone please feel free to correct me.  The speakers are setup directly under the mics.  Maybe they had to ratchet the levels down?  It's wild:  anything with mics is overpowering.  The hornline is barely audible.

Isn't there some kind of code that the U.S. flag should never touch the ground?  ...and if it does, it needs to be burned?  (btw, not trying to resurrect the b word topic)

True, it should never touch the ground or floor. I don't think it needs to be burned unless it's no longer in condition to be displayed, e.g., torn.

Last night, the sound was pretty good ... and quite loud.
