As I heard the opening words of Shakespeare at the beginning of Blue Stars show, I want to put in a plug for some corps next year: base your show on the soundtrack of "Something Rotten." The music is great and the show is hysterical.

As far as Blue Stars, I found it much easier to follow than I did when I saw it in the theater. Great mix of music too.

Something Rotten's music was written by a good friend of mine, Wayne Kirkpatrick. Brilliant writer and an even better person. One of the greatest musicals of modern theatre. Saw it on Broadway and again in Nashville.

Phantom brass much better tonight I think and you've got to LOVE THAT TUBA LINE!

I looked up who their brass caption head is a while ago. He is the tuba professor at Iowa State University, so the fact that their tubas are so strong is not surprising.

It's about red, and black, and some white.

Stuff like that.
