Sometimes you do act like u need a parents slap though

But 'you' are not my parent!  :hehe: The only ones here that can curtail my opinions are the mods; it is their house.

Well I took it was not top level meaning top spots. Why not just take the opinion from someone there who actually had the experience rather than always challenge. at some point it can be insulting. Just an thought.

A concept "Last Word Stu" apparently has not grasped, and I'm guessing probably never will....

Sometimes... things just happen. Without any back-room decisions being made, without any deep, dark conspiracies,  without any one particular individual being at fault for whatever situation, whatever decision, whatever outcome.

Sometimes... quite often, I would think... there is no deep inner meaning behind any particular decision or situation. Nothing that needs to be over-analyzed to the point of no return.

Sometimes... we simply can take another person's statement at face value, and not feel the need to probe deeply into what that person actually meant to say.

Sometimes... if someone says "a few"... they don't literally mean "three." Or if they say " a couple"... they don't literally mean "two."  Or if they say "I had iced tea today"... we don't need to know the exact details on what type of tea, what amount of tea, and whether lemon, lime, sugar, Splenda, or nothing was added to that tea.

Sometimes... quite often, actually...  it's okay to simply read a comment on any Internet forum, in any printed publication, in any form of media,  and move on.  The world will continue spinning on its axis.  No persons, or animals, will be harmed.

Ya used this phrase in another thread; and after I read the phrase, and I woke up one morning around 3am and could not go back to sleep, I did some research.  Out of all the threads I have ever posted to since joining DCP in 2010, I have only had 'the last word' in 7% of those threads; again just 7%.  So while you may try to be cute and sarcastic, the truth is far from your claim. just sayin'. :turn:

So the Cadets staff in 1972 were just incompetent buffoons who did not know how to time a show design.  Well... ok then.

So instead of thinking the penility would not put you out of top 12, the situation was that you were never going to be in the top 12 anyway, therefore the overtime penility really made no difference at all.

No, never said that. We were not placing at the very top level, a la Anaheim, SCV, Blue Stars, 27th, etc.... that does not mean we expected to miss out on finals. That was quite a stretch there.

He said, "We were not ever going to be in the top level." Which means either A) It was a situation where they were not going to be in the top six, but thought they were still going to be in finals, and so what the hey, take the overtime penility and we will still be in finals (which backfired); or B) It was a situation where they were not going to be in the top twelve, so what they hey, take the overtime penility no harm no foul, we were not going to be in top twelve anyway. So, which is it A or B?

Yes, Bobby Hoffman, Don Angelica, Fred Sanford were total buffoons.

Boston Crusaders... 1994. So close, just 4 tenths, and it would have been this Iconic Corps with lots of accomplishments in the pre DCI years, 1st Top 12 Finish in the DCI years... at a DCI Finals held in Foxboro, Massachusetts that 1994 season too no less. So close, but no cigar. Nothing against the Colts ( finished 12th)   though, as they were deserving TOP 12 Finalists as well that season, imo.
