FLBuzcut
Does every corps from CA have a strong drumline? Is that a thing? 3
FLBuzcut
I've never seen any of the Open Class corps from CA. This is exciting.
totaleefree
I think that shadow over the front of the field could become problematic

Generally drumline quality extends further down the rankings than brass line, from what I've been able to see. I think it's a factor of there being less spots, so even the lower-end groups get good talent. As a thought experiment example, if you assumed the top x of each section go to the top corps, then the next x best go to the next best corps, you'd expect the 21st best corps to have the 401st-420th best trumpets, while the 21st best corps would have the 181st-189th best snares.
totaleefree
I am happy to see that the big boys in CA give the open class corps a chance to perform at big shows.

They often take the medals at WGI in Scholastic World and Independent World. They are pretty #### good (but also the benefits of nice weather year round).
