kkrepps
I liked to mention little things about each corps and show that's really good. I.e. "This next corps is from SC and they have a really great horn line. They're doing a show based on Dante's Inferno"

Also, if your favorite corps is there, let your family know that they are the hardest working and best corps by far, and all the others stink. If they don't win, then explain how it's all a rigged system and just politics. This will forever endear them to the activity. All of this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 🤣 Edited July 3, 2019 by fanman
Lance
Just let them watch.
boxingfred
When I take new people to a drum corps show: I explain basically what drum corps is and why I love it. We sit watch and applaud. I take them to dinner and listen to what they got out of the experience. And, I learn.
Hook'emCavies
Get about 3 or 4 T.V.'s in one room, all of them hooked up to different Blu Ray players, and play your favorite shows. 🙂

CorpwithanS
Took newbies to the Premier. I'd explained only the history of Drum Corps, the sections and (historical) reasons for weapons/CG. Interesting feedback:: "don't know where I should focus" , " camera work sucked", "what the hell are they wearing?", "too many flags and more marching would be nice", "talented kids...love the sound except the amps were too loud". Watching more w/ them, live, later in the season.
