DCI World Championship Prelims - Thursday, August 8, 2019

Raiders are working hard in this first movement of the show. Almost continual motion on the field.

Trumpet soloist set up in the side one gateway on the 30, front sideline.

Full drum line roll as the horns jazz run across the field. Horns come back in at full volume, which is pretty impressive after all that running.

Really like the silks in the guard at the end of the first movement. Red, white, and black, almost looks like hyperspace considering the theme of the show.

Second movement opens with horn soloists staged in each of the gateway props. The props are lowered around them to encircle them while playing, then lifted back up so they can be moved to their next location on the field.

Drum line has remove their instruments and set up in a line in front of the horns. They do body movement, then lie down as the horns do a Cavies-like step over move.

There is one member of the corps who is in a guard uniform, but alternates between playing a horn and performing on the field. I believe she is our guide through the gateways.

Third movement opens with a percussion feature. Tenors and snares together, then basses on their own, then they form on the 50 for a full line finish to the feature.
