Counting down the minutes until I can shut this work laptop down and head to the stadium! Hopefully traffic isn’t too bad. Parking can get a little hairy at that stadium once the first few lots fill up.

The thing I love about this venue is how close the stands are to the field, probably my fav event I’ve ever attended was mesquite 2018, thank you SCV for that 2018 hornline and MELLO line, i don’t care if my hyperbole rubs people the wrong way when I say this, but that hornline overall was GODLIKE😰😰

Yes, SCV ‘18 was a real treat, for sure! I went to finals that year and seeing them win with that show was truly a memory I will cherish. I love Mesquite Memorial Stadium as well. Between UIL and DCI, it feels like I come here a lot. I will say that I hate Mesquite traffic with a burning passion.

They did host area C UIL! I would’ve loved to see Hebron that up close too, although I pretty much did at BOA HEB, so I was very pleased, I might have to make my way up there this fall though ‘cause it’s a later season performance in late October, and I really enjoy seeing those stretch-run, more refined performances we get from the students!!

For sure. I loved watching the Lewisville ISD bands clean and add layers to their shows over the course of the season. Flower Mound definitely added some stuff too but Marcus and Hebron especially refined the living snot outta their shows by the end of the season. I had a lot of fun spotting all the show additions that weren’t there the week before.

Considering it’s YET AGAIN!! another state year, I’ll definitely be taking the opportunity to go to a local late season contest, as well as BOA, I just always enjoy myself at a DFW show😎

I gotta say. I’ve lived in several different states over the course of my adult life. Living in Dallas has truly spoiled me when it comes to getting my marching arts fix. Band is a really big deal here and the Metroplex is home to some of the very best bands in the country. I absolutely love it!

I am 100% the same way. I love it here, because I’m hopelessly spoiled year after year, and it all started in high school band just 8 years ago for me, my favorite part of marching band was both performing and going to competitions just to watch👀
