Popular Post Barneveld
Order for the DCI Southwestern Championship in San Antonio (July 22), will be based on reverse order of placement from July 15 events in Fort Collins, Little Rock and Rockford and drawn at random in groups of threes. Corps not appearing in any of those events will be placed in the order based on their last score received. **Blue Stars & Troopers are tied. Do they flip a coin to determine which group of 3? Or is there another way to make the determination? Here are the scores from the July 15 events in Fort Collins, Little Rock and Rockford: 1 Blue Devils 89.600 2 Boston Crusaders 88.100 3 Bluecoats 86.700 _______________________________ 4 Carolina Crown 86.200 5 Mandarins 83.850 6 Phantom Regiment 83.250 _______________________________ 7 The Cadets 82.6009 8 The Cavaliers 81.050 9 Blue Stars 80.900** _______________________________ 9 Troopers 80.900** 11 Colts 79.650 12 Pacific Crest 78.150 _______________________________ 13 Blue Knights 76.150 14 Crossmen 75.900 15 The Academy 75.450 _______________________________ 16 Spirit of Atlanta 75.300 17 Madison Scouts 75.050 18 Music City 73.100 _______________________________ 19 Genesis 70.050 20 Seattle Cascades 65.300

But for right now, today July 16th, 2023...........it sure brings a smile to my face to see Mandarins sandwiched between two heavyweight prize fighters Crown and Phantom. Keep it up Mandarins! 20

For purely selfish reasons with nothing to do with my like of the Mandarins, I hope they get the top draw in their block.

But I would think for the planning purposes of the corps, that DCI would need to announce the schedule by Monday or Tuesday at the absolute latest. DCI released the seedings for San Antonio on Sunday July 17th, six days prior to the regional. If they follow last year, we should get seedings some time today!
dcifanforlife
They should have groups of three for one through six and then groups of two for the next six spots. That is fairest method. Back to groups of three after that. We will get lineup this afternoon.

Vuitton
It's so crazy that Mandarins and/or Regiment may very well go on after Crown. Who would have seen that coming before the season started?
