My first choice to march for the 1977 season was Garfield.... but I could not do their tour....needed a full-time summer job. Ended up with the Sunrisers instead, and we won the DCA title..... so not bad at all! Had an outside chance to march with the Blue Stars in 1979, my last year of junior eligibility.... but the plans never quite came together. Stayed with the Sunrisers. bass5 Posted November 20, 2006 Share Posted November 20, 2006 1965 Royalaires - winning Nationals at home in Chicago and defeating the cross town rival Cavies (who took 2nd) 1972 Kingsmen - 1st DCI champs I was lucky enough to march in the 1975 & 1976 Madison Scouts and would do it again.
