Roark1
1972 Kingsmen - Their guard blew me away. Total class. 1974 SCV - Their drum line blew me away. They made it look easy. 1975 Madison Scouts - I marched in that one and it was as much fun to do as it was to watch.
Walter
First off, Jared, I'm so proud of you! :) Anyway, 1977 27th Lancers, that Rocky show is HOT! 1978 27th Lancers ( My husband marched that year) 1978 or 1977 Bridgemen, I have to watch again to decide! :) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm glad you're not bias about you second pick there Lancerlady!! :P

MsBusDriver
So, is this "poll" for the top 70s whenever? or is it for the top '70s for the Classic Countdown. If it's the "C.C." then I don't think that '74 Kingsmen, '75 Madison, '76 BD and'80 27th can be shown again. (I know, I know, what a kill-joy :P ). If it's the first, I'll say Troopers '71... Super marching machine SCV '73... 27 wins, one loss to Troopers by only.1 of a point. What more can be said? (Oh, We won DCI prelims JoJo). Madison '74... Sigh...loved that hornline . If it's the latter, I'll say Madison '74... See above SCV '75... Maybe 2nd place, but we were on FIRE that night! And did anyone mention a Perfect 30 in GE? ^0^ Bridgemen '77... Mainly because I never saw them and want I to see the moment that Drum Corps as I knew it, change. Powersthatbe
My top 4 from the 70's are:1972 Anaheim Kingsmen, 1974 Santa Clara Vanguard, 1975 Madison Scouts And the show that changed drum & bugle corps forever:                1976 Blue Devils <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A subsequent post mentions that DCI does not have a video of the 1972 Kingsmen - and that is correct, they do not. There is a DVD available from a private party associated with the Kingsmen Alumni Association that contains the 1972 show (off of an ancient black & white video tape - excellent sound!). If you are interested I may be able to get you a copy. However, it may only be available to and for alumni, I'll have to check.
RJM
1. '75 Scouts 2. '76 Blue Devils 3. '75 SCV- their best show in the '70's IMHO (although '78 is a close 2nd)
