SABERA
One of the most memorable "off-the-lines" was played by a powerhouse hornline in the early 70's: "Ride of the Valkyries" and the St. Rita's Brassmen! As a side note - Britain's RAC Foundation for Motoring named Wagner's strident classical piece the No 1 tune not to play while driving as the music can cause accidents. If I had a decent copy of it, I 'd be blasting that out of my Infinity CD system in my minivan all the time..My son would go nuts, since it's not AC/DC or GNR. To Legend: Thanks for the list...Some serious s#@@ on that one!!! Thanks to the 'Orb and Sceptre' listed from 27..my nephew was in that sop line in '83. dugada
Maybe it was just my first exposure, but the opening sequence of the 78 Blue Devils and Chicago III Suite is amazing. Starting with the drum rolls and high speed marching (fast for the time) all culminating with the huge opening phrase. Dah Dah Dah Daaaaah!!!
