lindap
Dang those cups are hung mighty LOW. That was norm for the time. I remember wearing them too. 8 foot poles, yikes, especially in the wind. Darn horn line used to pull my flag during rehearsal when I was listening for the next drill instructions. Yikes. 27th Lancers guard had the pouches by their side a number of years back. Smart and effective. I noticed and sure did like that colour guard.

ajedrummer
Also in there is Mike Plachta who is with SoCal now, Bob Suhina who wrote Wausau Story's 1976 Bohemian Rhapsody Not sure who Bob Suhina is, but Wausau Story's horn book was written by Gary Guthman from 1976 - 1978. jim
KeithHall
Not sure who Bob Suhina is, but Wausau Story's horn book was written by Gary Guthman from 1976 - 1978.jim Bob was with The Royal Coachmen until he marched a year with Phantom (the last year they wore shakos). He wrote "Bohemian Rhapsody" for Phantom but they turned it down because it wasn't classical. Gary probabky wrote all but that tune. Bob later went on to teach Imperial Regiment with Craig Fattey and the two of them wrote some great music. Two talents that should still be teaching in corps somewhere. I believe Craig is doing the second jazz ensemble at SUNY Fredonia and Bob is with the US Postal Service.
