Scerpella
Definitely Madison Scouts. It looks like 1973, early in the season before the switch to the white aussies. There appears to be a double tenor with red drum covers and a tymp with a white M on front, both of which appeared for the first time in '73. Looks like Horicon to me. People were allowed to literally sit on the sidelines.

IllianaLancerContra
Hey, is that the Ford plant in the background? IllianaLancerContra, did you march with (sorry about he spelling) Terri Serdell? That is the steel mill about a mile south of the American Legion Post that was HQ. In the 1980s we practiced in the then mostly empty parking lot. baja
This a fairly unusual shot. How many times do you see a close up of the back side of a horm line.

As DM never, as M&M instructor a few more times than never ;-) The photo with horses wows me. I noticed, however, that one of the flag bearers has a pole with no pike and no sling. Cummerbunds are our friends:) A new member, a new flag? Not sure but he improvised well.

tommytimp
The Boys, 82. Alliance 82, on A Day. I guess that's that cutting-edge Zingali drill, what with the horns in a straight line on the front with the guard in back. (Seriously, they were smoking that day.) Diplomats 82. DPEmerald
Here's a couple of cool shots of SCV in 78 during the encore I think. I left them large so you can see more details when you enlarge them. Enjoy.
