JimF-LowBari
wait a minute Jim! HOW do you know that I'm a raindrop is a GIRL SCOUT song? hahahaha!!! (Some of us don't know the melody!) hahaha! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My 9 years younger sister was in Brownies and Girl Scouts when I was in corps. Should have seen me trying not to laugh when the Brownie troop started doing "Raindrop". Wish I could remember who started the song in Westshore. Had to be around '76 or so. One from our RCA days for the Johnsonburg Diplomats... I'm a lard###, I'm a lard### and I really am fat. But I'd rather be a lard### than a ### #### Diplomat. PS - Westshore play "Roll Out the Barrel" in '76 but called it "The Polka". Maye next year the Alumni should play the "Back of Bus Greatest Hits". :P
buzzgok
oh man, Hackmans in Iraq. he and Satuffer did Barnacle Bill perfectly <{POST_SNAPBACK}> they were the ones that did it the only time I ever heard it. Laughed so hard at Stauffer being the fair maiden, that I missed over half the song :P
buzzgok
Ok...here's what I received so far...edited accordingly to fool the censors but still keep the gist of the words!Tune #1, allegedly sung to the tune of "Bye Bye Blackbird" They play disco, they play rock when they play they s___ my c___ I love Hawthorne They have bugles they have drums when they play it makes me c___ I love Hawthorne I dont see how anyone could be better 'cause they dont have to practice in hot weather shout: OR SUNDAYS! they have bongos they have sticks, collectively they (shout) S___ OUR D____! Hawthorne, f___ you! Tune #2: i learned this as a Hawthorne song, but have since heard it as applied to about 5 different corps. Sung to the tune of "Turkey in the Straw", as fast as you possibly can She's...a.... big fat f___ and she's twice the size of me she's got pimples on her a__ the size of apples on a tree she can s___ and f___ and b__w and then she'll take it in her r___ and thats the kind of girl thats marching (insert favorite corps) guard this year Tune #3: sung to the tune of "They call the wind Mariah" In 69 they were the best, a great and mighty shower they call themselves the Hurricanes but now theyre just a shower the hurricanes (whooooooo) the hurricanes (whooooooo) but now theyre just a shower a lightning bolt upon their chest, a sunburst on their nipples they call themselves the hurricanes but they march like a bunch of cripples the hurricanes (whooooooo) the hurricanes (whooooooo) but now they're just a shower Tune #4: i think this is directed at the Cabs, although they are never named. it is incredibly offensive, and was usually only heard at the end of a very long practice when everyone was in their cups. Sung to the tune of the big hit in Dont cry for me argentina Don't cry for me its a fetus, its just a child thats been aborted and the placenta is in the toilet i used a hanger but now its bloody....... Tune #5: Sung to the tune of "My Way". I dont remember the first 2 verses anymore, just the "big finish", patterned after...well, i think its obvious who this is about And what is this corps what have they got when their head guy gets busted for pot you bruni boys can lick my b___s ill c___ on your face and p___ on you all ill s____ down your throat and this you can quote empire bl_____ws meeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OMG!! NanciD
I can't believe you all started this post. LOL I definitely can't believe that *Bobo* was brought up. And Stan (who is really Marty). This is all SO weird! Now I can't get these silly songs out of my head. And where is Stan / Marty these days? And the Mickey Mouse song.... you forgot the *A - G - A - I - N* I tried to start this song thread on RAMD a long time ago.... it didn't go far. The opening post on this thread referred to the calling of *mutts* Whenever I hear that term..... I see / hear Steiny. LOL Fran and Chris..... you guys better be careful here with your additions. LOL I'm not sure the public can handle all the songs you can offer. LOL And yes, I must agree.... the Sunrisers are the singingest corps I've ever encountered. Heck they would make up songs about songs. LOL I supposse I shouldn't bring up *Someone's In The Kitchen With China*, eh? This is too funny! Carry on!! Please!! Glad I was told to check out this thread. Thanx to all for contributing.
Fran Haring
Fran and Chris..... you guys better be careful here with your additions. LOL <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No additions from me. Honest to God, and I don't want to sound like a wet blanket here, it would be nice if the "Sun Songbook" was kept OFF this thread. Too much really brutal stuff. (Very funny, yet brutal!!) I'm not sure the current version of the Sunrisers would appreciate having the corps' old "dirty laundry" aired in public. Sun alums, do the current corps a favor: Think before you post here.
