sburstall
Two come to mind (and probably mentioned). 1998 Colts? In moving backwards into a ball (back hash, about 40 yard line) a soprano fell over backwards. It's on the finals tape. Bluecoats - I think it was 1996. Soprano came in one 1 beat early in thier closer Auld Lang Syne. Edited August 10, 2005 by sburstall
esutheprairiedog
SCV 1985, Rockford, IL While the brass line was filing through the tunnel for the pants change, one was a little late getting out of the tunnel and had run to get back in line Phantom, Oswego, IL (I don't remember the year) I didn't see what caused it, but a handful of horn players ended up in a pile on the field early in the show. sburstall
How about '90 BD when they played "Tommy"?? At that time, the worst rock opera ever written. :P
byline
North Star, 1980, right there on tape at Finals, in the push of Ole at the end of the show, two horn players run right into each other. Poor guys. Wow, I've never noticed that! Time to break out the "Legacy" DVD. . . . The one I remember is Bridgemen, I believe in 1980, where the guy fell down during the dance. Bounced right back up, though!
Nizerifin
Cavaliers 1992 - during the snare solo, they're doing some tricky stuff with their sticks, then finally a flip with the stick. One of the dudes almost dropped his stick, and they were right in the limelight on the camera at the time. Good recovery though!
bbass74
Suncoast 1992 during prelims we had a quiet part of a song and then a 4 count and a 16th note tonal bass run that started on 3. Something happened and they started on 2 and then we had half note accents for the next two measures. Since the bass line came in early the battery was hitting on 1 and 3 while the pit was hitting on 2 and 4. It sounded like an echo effect and it threw off half the hornline :) ! Somehow we recovered after the first measure but dang, it's all on video! They filmed prelims but not finals. We still made it in though! One of my instruuctors always told me, if you're gonna screw up, screw up loud!
