Galen
2nd place was BD 3rd was Cadets. I'm curious that you're claiming that Cavvies were "lower than their competition" that year, and yet you can't recall just who the competition was. And furthermore, I seem to recall Cavvies winning just about every caption that year and notching a few 20's in the process (and of course how deserved those are has been argued about ad naseum in the past) Edited July 21, 2005 by Galen

Mahler
Remind me of the 2nd and 3rd place corps please.Thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Mahler
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> O.K. I was there. I remember that the horn line played poorly. For that matter I would not have given Madison '88 the title over the Blue Devils that year because of the way they played that night as well. That title was decided the night before at headquarters. Most of the time the best corps wins. Hands down. Yet, there have been a few stinker final performances that were overlooked. I'm not talking about the best show. That would be even more of a hot topic.
Penguin
I think he meant... if you have a list of the winners of each year, pick your least favorite.
