general_tso_chicken53
Cadets 2000 seem like the perfect choice, to me
hrnguy500
Cavies 2004. It is probably the most accessible music to a "newbie" that you can get to. Practically everyone has heard of Jame Bond/seen a movie/heard the movie. The drill is the epitome of "modern" marching and people would be entertained by all of the movements. It is a very entertaining show and very well executed. .....I debated between this and '95 Scouts....the show that made me a DC fan.
bedford
Just one? Wow!!!! Although it doesn't capture the contribution now being made by the colour guard or the pit, I will go with 1978 Vanguard with 2006 Cavies as "bridesmaids" Edited August 23, 2008 by bedford
Fishbone
In my experience people who have no idea what drum corps is all about don't understand the musicianship and precision marching that it takes. They want to be entertained or they will lose interest pretty quickly. I always show them 92 VK. They get a kick out of it.
BRASSO
No argument here.....I look at it this way:If you wanted to show someone who knew nothing about computers the example of computers today...you wouldn't pull out your old Apple II...even though it was revolutionary in its day. Your analogy doesn't always work, re " age " and it's appeal value. If you had a choice of owning a '65 Ford Mustang Convertible or a 2000 Ford Taurus...... would you take the 2000 Ford Taurus simply because it's newer and more efficient ? sniper282000
I have introduced Drum Corps to a few of my teammates on my Seal Team. And the show that i always wanna show first is 99 SCV. That has to be one of the most intense shows in DCI history.
Kekkles
i wouldn't get either because owning novelty cars is dumb.

Sideways
I cannot believe that no one has picked BD 2003. Talk about music that everyone can walk away humming, insane visual execution, and every caption just oozed confidence and "cool."
