2004 Carolina Crown "Looooove" + "Beat generation" =  ampssuck

2005 Blue Devils "Yowsa, yowsa yowsa" + "Dont forget to write your poor old mother" = ampssuck

Ya know, I just never really equated emotional shows (as they affect me) with anything BD has done. That's not a knock on BD, it's just the type of shows the do, just don't affect "me" emotionally. That being said, I really liked their 88 show.

But for shows that affected "me" emotionally,

89 Vanguard - you couldn't help but be drawn in.

03 Spirit - Seeing them for the first time at quarters was unreal

03 PR - I wasn't planning on going to Orlando until I saw them in California, then, all bets were off. I'm glad I went

Rocketman - I have no emotions

Of the finals I've been to (since 2001)...

Cadets 2002 - there was so much sentiment behind it... regardless of the cheese, you could still tell the members felt it

PR 2003 - duh

Crown 2004 - ...I don't know why... but yeah. mos def

There are too many stinking shows to mention here and I can only name three, so here they are in no particular order:

1. 1987 Santa Clara Vanguard (especially RCM and Great Gate...)

2. 1996 Phantom Regiment (ohhh...it was pure brass heaven...)

3. 1995 Madison Scouts (gotta love the guard at the end, especially the guy who snaps his flag in two over his knee!)

you want chock full of emotion throw in 1984 Suncoast sound - I don't think there was a dry eye in the house after requiem.

The show that brought me into this activity big time was Spirit 1980. Everything else pales in comparison IMHO.

Suncoast 84 is another good choice. And SCV 88 was more emotional than the show in 89. It gave me chills, goosebumps, and lumps in my throat.
