Phirefenix
I've heard the Bob Barker rumor evey year. I think that's something the whole world has been waiting for anyway. I remember being on tour in 03' and reading a newspaper article about Strom Thurmonds death. I bought the paper to keep as a memento. Not sure why. As stated many times before, "one more run" is drum corps biggest lie.
JoeW
here's a myth.......trumpet/soprano players never hold notes too long! :P heehee
Xcalibur
I'm not proud of this one, but it was quite funny. Back in the day, before everyone on tour had a cellphone, it was very easy to spread false rumors. I told the sopranos that Maynard Ferguson had died. I had two guys who were kind of broken up about this. One guy, almost teary-eyed, told me as they were about to go on the field, "This one's for Maynard." It was all I could do from busting out laughing on the spot. Ok, so that was pretty cruel. Drum corps remains a great place to spread rumors.
