Phantom&Phitch
Just thinking about Phantom and Ave Maria, and whats Boston did with Jesu, and of course, Cavaliers with their advent music.... so, what are you faves? what would you like to hear by whom? etc... etc... Toby
Colts 98 Crown 05 Glassmen 95 Cavies 91 Cavies 90 Southwind 97 (or 96?) Phantom playing "Amazing Grace" Honestly, I love it. I'm a big fan of hymns and when put to a good brass line, I just melt.
HOOKEDBYLEGEND78
1993 Cadets did "It Is Well With My Soul", but they referred to it as "Hymnsong by Phillip Bliss" or something like that. It was very well done! Many times the "Ode to Joy" from Beethoven's 9th has been used. Phantom 77-78, Cavies 99, and many others. Glassmen's version of "A Mighty Fortress" in 95 was very good, but Crown's version this year is super-sweet!
Kimberly
Late 80s we played "We Gather Together" and even learned to sing the words in 4 part harmony. It was odd, but looking back, it was also pretty cool!

HOOKEDBYLEGEND78
I believe Troopers have used "O Sacred Head Now Wounded" as a warmup piece, also. :)
