Hrothgar15
What's your favorite "daylight" finals performance? I say it's either Santa Clara Vanguard 1992 or Madison Scouts 1999.
bawker
I can totally agree with your choices. 1992 Vanguard hornline was loud as #### live...what an awesome tribute to GR!

torn8o
While it IS questionable that these shows were performed "in the light", I think you are talking bottom spots in finals anyway so here is a nice list of my favorite non top 5 shows. 1980 North Star (one of my favorite soprano soloists of all time) 1980 Guardsmen (one of my favorite horn lines of all time) 1983 Bridgemen 1984 Freelancers 1985 Freelancers 1985 VK 1986 Star of Indiana 1987 Spirit 1987 VK 1988 VK 1988 Star 1989 Crossmen 1989 VK (despite the rivalry with the corps I marched in - this WAS a great show and a favorite of mine.) 1989 Freelancers (a biased one but hey) 1990 VK 1990 Crossmen 1991 Bluecoats 1991 Freelancers (yeah yeah yeah. Hey, we had a great horn line that year. Even if I do say so myself) 1991 Crossmen 1992 VK 1992 SCV (sorry Freelancers, :( don't stone me but our 92 show was not a favorite of mine- please don't hate me) 1993 Colts 1993 Bluecoats 1993 Crossmen 1994 Magic 1995 Magic I'll stop there because I'm not as well knowledged passed my age out year. Nothing peronal. I'm just more familliar with the top 5 after 95. I want to see the full show of SCV 05 because from everything I've heard about it - I would LOVE it. bawker
1989 Freelancers (a biased one but hey) Hey, man, that show rocks...that first big build up... the timpani hits and then all #### breaking loose. It sounds like you guys marched 80 horns in some parts of that show. Don't get me started on the 1990 Batman show. :P Loud as #### and always one I like to listen to.
