DrumCorpsMom
I thought of Northern Highlanders, but there is a pipe band in Thunder Bay Ontario by that name. How about: Northern Knights or just Highlanders Are they keeping the kilts?

RobH
I like Bonnie Scots and I like Highlanders IF you keep the Scottish theme with the corps! Maybe I can dig up some info on names from Scottish military outfits - there may be a good one there! standby............
RobH
here's a quick link to some Scottish Regimental history in Canada: http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/Heritage/FSCNS/S...ary_Canada.html might be a unit that was once located close to where Bandettes are based, which would then give you a historic tie to the region! Other names were Black Watch, Royal Scots, Fusiliers, Light Dragoons, and 42nd Regiment. Hope this helps!
hughesmr
How about "The Bravehearts"? Has a Scottish ring, and the "heart" part plays to both the feminine roots of the corps and the red color of the uniform. And "brave" certainly applies to your corps in the uphill fight against Div I dominance of the activity these days.... MelloHorn13
I vote for Bravehearts. But keeping the name Bandettes would be just fine, the "ette" part of it would keep the all-girl spirit. And the idea of vest to match the skirts will work just fine until funds are raised to get updated uniforms.
Becker
Anything as long as "Sound" is in the name or blue isn't used in the uniform. hahaha! "Aqua-Marine Sound" :P
madscout96
First of all, best of luck to the organization with this new direction you're headed in. It's sad to see the last all-girl corps in North America not continue that tradition, but it also gives reason for optimism seeing as there is much more potential for alot of future success with a co-ed corps. I look forward to seeing what happens! My suggestions (some serious, some not) Soo Lock Sound (just kidding, I second the "no sound" vote!) Yooper Troopers (being so close to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, just kidding also) Something "Brigade" (you can use your "B" that way)
