We lost two former members, Jeff Fox, baritone (also marched Bridgemen) and Patrick Dwyer, snare, on 9/11 in the World Trade Towers. Others we have lost:

John Aviles, driver (also one of the Grumman designers of the lunar module)

Gary Black, hornline

Rob Drescher, drums

Joe Heaney, driver

Joe Panzarino, drums

Bob Pearson, Brass Arranger and Instructor (wrote our original 1980 opener)

James Reed, driver and miracle mechanic

Peggy Sjursen, cook staff

George Tuthill, Percussion Arranger/Instructor

You can see a picture of Jeff on post 5532 on page 554 of the Old Photos subject. Jeff is the Baritone on the left.

Madison boys...

Eric Knutson

Bill Tyrell

I knew about Bill Tyrell -- in fact I'd talked to him just a few days before he died.. I wasn't aware that Eric Knutson had died. When did that happen?

My dad. He passed away in March of 94. He never got to see me and my brother perform in Foxboro. If it wasn't for my dad, we never would have gotten involved in drum corps (that also includes another brother and a sister).

I knew these guys in Oakland. Also, friend of mine who marched Cavies, Mike Kilburn, passed away in 1990.

As you said, Susan: "far too many, far too soon." :(
