wxologist
Just checked the radar again...and things look good. With the loss of strong daytime heating the showers and thunderstorms are diminishing all around the Powder Springs area. Looks like the show will be a go, anyone can confirm this with a cell call? jblamb1401
Powder Springs is in the Eastern time zone right? Also, someone posted in a review of last night's show that the trumpet soloist in Spirit's ballad fracked his solo and had an ulcer inside his mouth. Has anyone heard anything about this? Has anyone heard anything about this? I was at the show last night and went hang out with Spirit afterwards. I was told the same thing so I guess that was accurate. I can definitely defend the point, I play lead stuff all the time and those things hurt like crazy when you gotta scream out that kinna stuff. Better take it easy now instead of screwing it up more for later
oldsoprano
It's a B-eautiful night in Powder Springs. Posting from on the track on the front sideline, at about the 40 yard line. Intermission is wrapping up, and Boston is settin gup some really strange looking props on the field right now. There was about 2 minutes of rain an hour before the show, and the only other effect from this afternoon's storms is they cooled the weather down very nicely. It's probably in the upper 70s or low 80s right now, perfect drum corps weather. Well, gotta go take pictures of Boston. More later from the front sideline. And yes, I can confirm that Spirit's trumpet soloist has a very nasty ulcer. I gave one of their horn instructors a ride to the drug store this morning to pick up some stuff for some sort of voodoo cure or something for the ulcer. :)
