freakyswotboy
With some of the more recent shows I would have to say abeginning and an end! They just sort of drift in and out rather vaguely and it is 'nt until the next corps has started I realise it's over, or was that the next corps starting? It's confusing! :P
George
i love the shows today - much more creative and varied than in the 90's - and the top corps' performance levels have never been better IMHO - especially the "non-elite" corps placing ohh - 18th to 6th so I don't think anything is missing - not a big fan of the amps but they are here so either I deal with it Edited July 12, 2006 by George
Scerpella
Whats missing in drum corps today is true diversity. 3 corps innovate everyone else follows. All other innovation is rejected. All the uniforms are similar, most made by the same company. Whats missing is tolerance for any type of show or performance but one. Whats missing is music that makes an emotional connection unless you have a music degree. Edited July 12, 2006 by dans24103
Sideways
How about a show that is entirely about Apathy?
bobchilds
I'm not a guard person, but... I would like to see more precision, ensemble guard work -- as opposed to the flitting around and making faces that seems to be so common these days. I'd also like to see more emphasis on spinning equipment without as much of that lunging and body-English and dancing.
Toby
If my choices were between every corps playing new music and every corps playing music I recognized immediately, I'd pick new music every time. Heck, drum corps introduced me to much of my favorite music. Understandable. How about a show that utilizes some recognizable music, with something new? Company Fronts! Studio Tan
How about a show that is entirely about Apathy? Meh, not worth trying it.
SkyRyder_FMM
What is missing? Why...clarinets, flutes, and saxes, of course. ^0^ Hmmm, wouldn't they have had to be there at some point to be missed???? ^0^
