We've heard what people don't like, now tell us what you like. As far as I know, these are the only instances in three years of amped vocals used by Division I corps. Pick the one you liked the best, and tell us why.

I actually forgot Capital Regiment 2006, now that I think of that. Feel free to cast write-in votes for them.

I thought Crown's singing in '04 was solidly done for the first year amps were out, and was effective in their show.

Almost all the amped vocals from '05 I liked...I thought the Cadets drumspeak was great, I personally enjoyed BD's narration, and I also dug the tabla speak from Bloo.

This year, I'm sold on the vocals in X-men, but not much else.

I would like to see each corps form an A Cappella chorale, which could entertain fans with great music, and NOT have it judged. Just kind of a friendly rivalry to see who could really put forth the best product. Maybe 4-5 minute presentations just before the corps sections head to warm-ups, before taking the field. For me...I would rather see this, than vocals on the field.

Crossmen, easily. Especially when IU was beating Wisconsin! :D

To be fair, I didn't mind the "History Repeating" opening with the silent drill for Cadets this year (the ballad is another story). It was a pretty effective opening for the sequel.

For me, the best use of vocals is when Brandt Crocker says "Phantom Rrrrrrrrrregiment!"

Mike in OH
