Matt_S
It was the Penske truck. They have already replaced it. No damage done to any equipment. No injuries. Whew! Great to hear.
The Tsar
That's always scary. In either 92 or 94 (can't remember which) we heard this terrible sounding crash in the parking lot, while listening to some judges tapes. The Cavaliers equipment truck had pulled out without the trailer being attached-- smashed the front of it pretty good. (Thankfully, no one was hurt-- it came straight down and didn't tip) Yeah, that was the night we were being talked to by the judges...remember that, Cory? They were essentially telling us that we might as well enjoy the season for what it was, because we weren't going to be in contention. I believe that was the show where we dropped 3 points overnight. We immortalized the event in that song that summer: Sung to the song "Irish Washerwoman" "Well, we had a good show but they opened the spread Then we talked with some judges who *&^%-ed with our heads But the Cavies were *&^%-ed 'cause their semi was dead... ...so we had another beer." There were about 4-5 more verses to the song...I can barely remember them all... :P
JayM
Are you sure they weren't trying to haul that overpass when they ran out of gas? Here's your sign.

lbjazz
Similar thing happened to the Crossmen a few weeks ago. The "music store" (eq truck) got stuck under an overpass or a tunnel (can't remember which). They had to let air out of all the tires to get it through. Luckily there was no serious damage done. usmpiano
i read this thread title with the EQ capitalized as "Equalization" truck, and I'm thinking, "MAN, that must be a HUGE sound system!!" Edited July 26, 2006 by usmpiano
