Phantom&Phitch Posted August 10, 2006 Share Posted August 10, 2006 (edited) For me it depends on how you use it. if you're talking about the kids individually yet pluraly, then its Cadets (think gooses) if you're talking about the corps as a whole entity its The Cadets. (now think geese) the problem for me with saying "Cadets you may take the field in comptetition" is that you're telling a corps they can take the field, not each individual kid. I guess it's not THAT big of a deal. Like I said before, I think it bothers me more with "The Cavaliers" than "The Cadets" because with Cavaliers, there was really no real reason for the name to be changed.
