sburstall
I wouldnt mind a tie at DCA's ... and for any Drum Corps fan, they can look at it this way...:FREE DRUM CORPS ADVERTISMENT I wouldn't mind ties. But not bow ties. Learned never to trust those who wear bow ties. :P
Browniebrick
If a tie should occur, maybe Fran could go down onto the field and call forward the respective corps drum majors for a coin flip. The winning corps could opt for either the title or one of Fran's famous DCA shirts. And the non-winning corps would get whichever item of choice was left. SaraNYC
So when was the first tie in DCI? I think DCA is about 20 years behind the DCI timeline so if my theory holds true it might not quite be time yet...

Actually, first prize is the DCA title and 2 of Fran's shirts. Of course, 2nd prize is 4 of Fran's shirts.
CHRISP
while there is no longer a tie breaker rule... the current system - although being possible - makes ties highly unlikely... you gotta love those three decimal places What happend to the tie breaker rule? After the "outrage" of the Bush/Sun tie in 1988.......and the tie breaker actually coming into effect in 1989, again, involving Bush & Sun again?????? Why was the rule abolished?
