Gorgo
2003 Phantom Regiment 2000 Santa Clara Vanguard 2004 Cavaliers 1988 Velvet Knights 1984 Blue Devils 2006 Bluecoats 1978 Madison Scouts 2001 Cadets 1990 Star of Indiana 1991 Crossmen 1975 Bridgemen 2002 Boston Crusaders I tried not to choose two from the same year, even though the '05 countdown had two great '00 shows from Boston and Cadets. Another from that year I really want to see is SCV - that show rocks - can someone please edit out somehow the gross indiscretion at the spot where the last of the Barber is dissolving, a lot of listeners had to be in tears over the effect of the music, and some young ladies felt the compulsion to yell that name?? Or is it such a part of drum corps lore that it would be sacrilege to try to edit it out? We need Photoshop for audio files. . . :P Edited September 2, 2006 by Gorgo
Michael Boo
okay. "Okay" as in group hug? 'Cause I'm all in favor of those. Want to share a story for a future Fanfare column? (Can't miss an opportunity.) Mike :) :P
Marc66
Ah, yes...the Countdown speculation is in full swing...and, so... MY VOTES: 70's BRIDGEMEN - 1977 (or was it 78?) the year of the insanely good show that got disqualified. TROOPERS - 1974 80's GARFIELD - 1983 SUNCOAST - 1985 (while 86's hornline was better, the 85 show was awesome) SCV - 1987 VK - 1988 90's PHANTOM - 1993 BD - 1994 BLUECOATS - 1995 (the military show was incredible) MADISON - 1995 00's CAVALIERS - 2000 (2004 is just not far enough in the past for me to vote for) CROSSMEN - 2003

jjeffeory
Am I the only one that thinks there will be no Star show? Really now, 1990 isn't all the liked, is it? 92 is great, but CHEESE!Also, why is everyone picking 92 for SCV? I LOVED that show, too, but 87 IS the Santa Clara Vanguard. I really like the 86 Suncoast idea...or 88. Hope they can make it in. And I'd love to see 86 or 87 Sky Ryders, too. Well, I loved Star 90. SCV 92 is okay, but not as good as other years. Some Suncoast and Sky Ryders would be great. How about some Freelancers too!
X DM
So, which shows do you think will be appearing on the silver screen next spring? Here are a few that I think could pop up. Star of Indiana 1990 (I'll be very dissapointed if this doesn't make it) Phantom Regiment 2003 or 2006 Cadets 1998 and more... So, which shows do you think could be showing up? I hope North Star.... pure entertainment.... "the Chrome Wall " Drum Line.... Stevie Wonder's " Sir Duke " ( tribute to Duke Ellington ) for an innovative, energetic, fun filled closer..... one of DCI's best single soprano soloists ever and featured in their song " Ole "..... they are going to get one of my votes this year. ( and I hope others will consider them for a vote as well ) Edited September 3, 2006 by X DM
