tommytimp
In no particular order: 1. SCV bottle dance 1979. What a crowd reaction. 2. End of Madison's show in 1988. Loudest I've ever heard. 3. Bridgemen's snare line bringing out the blindfolds in Cary, NC in 1983. 4. The all-night runoff in DeKalb, 1982. PR's second show that night may be the best performance I've ever seen. 5. Phantom's break from minor to major in their 96 opener. Compares favorably to the same moment in Ravel's 'Bolero.' My own show: Knights 1985. The hit in "Could We Start Again, Please." High point of the best small show ever done.

Ryan H. Turner
Knights 1985. The hit in "Could We Start Again, Please." High point of the best small show ever done. Tom? When are you just going to admit that I'm right, and that the end of 83 show was the best? EVER. Edited November 3, 2006 by Ryan H. TchMuzk
The five drum corps moments that have impacted ME the most (in descending order): 5) Bottle Dance- 1982 SCV. Sure it fell apart and died, but it was the most EXCITING thing I'd ever seen live 4) Dissolving company front- 1987 Garfield Cadets 3) DOWNWARD chromatic run while the Z-pull RETURNS to a Z- 1990 Cadets of Bergen County 2) Into the tunnel and changing pants- 1985 Santa Clara Vanguard 1) Singing You'll Never Walk Alone with the combined Madison Scouts Alumni Corps and Competition Corps
cat699
for me has to be these in not any order 1, Star 1991 the bartone line! (Im a snare boy but those guys rocked) 2, Santa Clara 1989 (the whole show) the year I got in to dci and the show which made me want to march snare! 3, Cadets 1994 (nar not 84, the reason for 94 is near the end of the main drum break mid section of the show the tenners and whole percussion attack though to the end, there is a short clip of the judges tape of that year and the judge loses it, in one word amazing!) 4, cadet 1983 zpull 5, star 93 the closer best every!!! full of energy!
