Tommy all the way. even with the jazzed up version of PBW, the rest of the show was vintage BD, yet didn't dishonor the original.

Quad City Knights 1988 - Chicago's Greatest Hits

The Music of Chicago - Make Me Smile * Fancy Colors * To Be Free * Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? * Only The Beginning * I've Been Searching So Long * 25 or 6 to 4

One of my favorites! and of course the Glassmen Moody Blues show :)

BD 1990 - "The Who's Tommy"

Although I didn't like the pinball tarps, and the color guard uniforms were downright frightening, it was a great interpretation of Townshend's score. Pure BD.

Honorable mention (songs only)

VK - School's Out (Love the echo effect!!!)

27th Lancers - Chicago Medley

Bridgemen - In the Stone

CMCC Warriors - Theme from Shaft

Tons of pop ballads don't count, I take it.

Haven't heard Cadets "Jethro Tull" show, (I know, I know), and that might make my all time favorite list. I have to get hold of a recording.

Isn't Madison 1999 (Jesus Christ Superstar) pop music?

I second that.

Many might consider it Broadway music, but it was a "rock" opera and was the top selling album according to Billboard for 1971, which definitely makes it "pop" in my book.

Well it is musical theater, so it can be considered Broadway. But stylistically it's rock, so it could be considered rock. Same thing for "Tommy". The deciding factor for me is who wrote it. Andrew Lloyd Webber is most certainly NOT a rock and roller, he's a musical theater person, so I put JCSuperstar in the Broadway category. The Who was a rock band, one of the greatest of all time, so I categorize Tommy as rock.
