jjeffeory
I got about 40 or more facebook friends to vote for the Scouts and none of them know anything about drum corps. Glad they are getting a nice infusion of cash! Wow, that is great! I bet it really helped them.
bass5
I marched in '96 so I'm posting on page 96. And....kinda dead in here. It sure does slow down when the guys haven't had a show for a while. I know they're working on a few minor "tweaks" to the show and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning in East Troy this week. Tomorrow night in La Crosse we'll see how all that hard work pays off. On Sat. they are going on 2 to 3 hours prior to the corps they seem to be competing against right now but i guess that's what happens when you take 15th place in the previous year. I believe that the scores in Mpls will determine the performance order in San Antonio.

Glad they are getting a nice infusion of cash! Thanks for the help!! There's an article about this on dci.org today and Komnick says the Scouts will be putting their $20K into the Scouts Tuition Scholarship fund. That put a big smile on my face as I'm sure it did for some deserving Scouts.

Have a great time on Saturday bro. Don't sleep in or you'll miss the boys. That 15th place from last year is still hanging over their heads. I remember my first Nationals in Philly, 1969 when I marched in The Eau Claire Boys. We went on at like 7:15 am - there were about 8 people in the stands. GGarrett
I know this has nothing to do with anything... but I've been wanting to get on DCP here and say that I had the "Out on the practice field with the current corps" dreams last night, and realizing in the dream that I had NO CLUE wtf I was doing or that I could in no way keep up with what the performers have to do now days and how bad I suck now compared to BITD. There I am... in this dream... with a snare drum on, walking up to the line and announcing I am there to be in for the rest of the season (all one month of it...) and I can get it all down by TONIGHT, and the show is in like 4 hours from now... I've heard many of you say you've had a similar or same type of dream. Come to think of it, that's more a nightmare than a dream!
