  1. Yes, great question. 24 performances? Wow, wouldn't that mean they're done around midnight? If someone finds out what the deal is...please let us all know.
  2. Good luck to all of the corps tonight and especially to Ross Wetherald with The Boston Crusaders!!!
  3. To answer one part of the OP's question. Yes, Carolina Gold was a DCA South corps, I think for the first two years when DCAS started. I remember going up to NC for one of the competitions and Gold coming to ATL. I think that was one of the marathon show weekends here... Rockmart one night, Raleigh area the next day.
  4. VERY! I'd like to see Kilties on that list too. It's going to be another great season and I'll be in the stands watching it!!
  5. Dang, glad I didn't go either after hearing all of these issues. IDOL was pretty good on my TV.
  6. Do they have a "Taco Cabana" up in Canada? LOL. Congrats DD!!
  7. OMG, The pics in this thread are priceless. My boss just walked by my cube and asked what I was smircking at...I showed him and he started cracking up too. Oh and yes, that's a great looking uni.
  8. Yes, I've seen some middle school bands do field shows, now whether they go to competition is another question.
  9. Was just watching 91 Phantom and right near the end of Pagliacci, the mello player loses his feather from his helmet. Drums come roaring down the field and you can see the judge grab the feather and almost gets nailed by the snares. Anyone know if he DID get nailed? Thanks.
  10. I believe there were actually two missing members. I'm sure an SCV alum can verify that.
  11. Yes, I know what you mean. It's just fun to watch who really books it to the end.
  12. Check out Star of Indiana, 1992, in the Opener. There's a spot where the bell player hits a solo note and the focus from the camera is on the bass drums and one of the guys tilts his head back to highlight the hit from the bell player. Thought that was pretty funny. 91 Star, focus on one person doing the cross to cross and see if they really move around much. I've watched this too many times now.
  13. Come on Cozy...you can do this!!! My prayers are coming to you and your family!!
  14. Hey Tom, Nah, I think we're good here in the south without the snow. I hear you guys got "a little" up in Rochester. My Aunt in Fairport said she was getting ready for it. I sure don't miss the white stuff. I'll have to check with Marlene more and find out what the person's jacket or whatever said.
  15. I'm just trying to find out who it could be. Apparently, my former manager at Georgia Pacific here in Atlanta ran into someone on a flight to Milwaukee or some where up that way and the person said they knew me. The lady you were talking to was Marlene. Anyone out there on that flight?? Anyway, small world.
  16. Now those are good memories!!! Don't forget Ernesto, when Chops and Alliance and every other corps huddled in the bathrooms for cover.
  17. QUOTE (crazymello @ Dec 10 2008, 01:45 AM) Only representative group from GA being South Cobb highschool.... of all the bands and corps they could've chosen... Crazymello, that last part is just plain bad. It's not even that Freddie used to direct at that school, it's that this is the opportunity of a life time for these kids and I can pretty much tell you Metro Atlanta is all over making sure this band gets to Washington, DC. They've had all kinds of fundraising done on one of the radio stations here and donations keep coming in.
  18. Congrats Cadets!!! The South Cobb High School Marching Band from Austell, GA (Metro Atlanta) is also going to be in the parade.
