  1. I just watched Spirit. I haven't seen them since Westminster. Wow! A few drill problems but, Sound and the guard looked really good. i love their music.
  2. I know the new ending. I even know what the 2007 show will be.( I Think) But do you think I'll tell you guys? HEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLL NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I guess you haven't seen Blue Stars show.
  4. Devils win Cavaliers 2nd by less than a point.( 7 to 9 tenths ) Phantom, Blue and Cadets- Pick em. I think some one will tie. Cadets -top drums. Santa Clara- I wish they were clean enough to win. Crown Boston Madison Glassmen Blue Knights Spirit Crossmen in 13th
  5. The stadium had mic problems , even the anoncer had problems. I missed the whole opening introduction to Blue Stars show and other parts through out. the stadium system hurt crossmens radio segment. the cadets queen of hearts who has a couple of speaking parts and vocalist were hurt by bad mics. Bad day for pro mic fans.
  6. bp-monte mast- from texas vp- james sturgeon from tenn. em- mark petrash from cali. ev- mike anderson from wash gem- rick rodrigues from texas gev-mike stone from cali. perc#1 martin griffen from NJ perc#2 JJ pipitone from texas guard curtis constanza from washington Not enough west coast judges! :P
  7. Ijust came back from the show. Cavs- Were very good. Many high points in their show. Won guard by .2 Lost Drums. Standing O at the end. They kicked butz tonight. well deserved. Cadets- Started strong then got tired at the end. Every corps with talking parts to their show had mic problems. this hurt The Cadets alot IMO. Drums were hot. Drum solo got a big Ovation. Guard was on as well. SCV- My first time seeing them this year. Great! I wish they were cleaner. I love SCVs show. BK- Very good another good BK show Crossmen are improving every show. I don't see why the spead isn't bigger between them and Blue Stars. Blue stars- It's great to see that uniform in div.1 again. Mic problems hurt them too. Scades- I really like their show. I hope they can clean it.
  8. The Bluecoats are very clean the transitions from one form to the next are very well written. I'm very happy the Bluecoats are taking the next step. I'll be in Denver cheering you on! What happened to the Cadet positive thread?
  9. Aaaahhhhh, That's good now. Have a good rest. Anybody else feeling sleepy?
  10. Evey corps makes changes to their show. Different panels of judges score corps differently. It all comes down to individual captions. What is success? Winning? Doing your best? Winning the crowd? winning over the judges?
  11. 1976- The strongest top 20 ever! 1980- Devils-90.60 27th- 90.25 Bridgemen-90.05 Spirit- 89.80 Enough said! 2000- I enjoyed every corps in the top 12 1993- Strong top 4
  12. I love the little rap battle between dbc03 and studio tan. Very creative. It's your turn ST.
  13. Im in Denver right now. It's pretty hot. It was hot in Nebraska yesterday until the monsoon.
  14. I forgot Phantom! Last year Phantom was the happy go lucky cheery Phantom. This year they are the dark rip your heart out Phantom! ILOVE THE AGAIN! Drums, Horns, Guard, S&M guys and Visuals. One thing though. THEY SHOULD BE WEARING BLACK!
  15. I get it "Machine" pretty clever. I was at Westminster and Allentown. Cadets- I love them! Very exciting The 27 seconds of singing at the begining of the show did bother me at all. It was well staged and it fit the theme of the show. I personally would perfer a mellophone solo but, It's a unique show. I thought the drum solo was way cool. And the comments the actors make between drum sections were a nice touch. The singing during the Ballad was interesting as the drums go flying back field.Again this is a unique show so singing fits the show.I don't like the fact that the corps is not finished the show. But, If you can score an 81 with an unfinished show, your doing something right.I'm of the opinion:If the drums are playing their azzes off. If the horns are clean. If the color guard is performing at a high level. You can sing a little, Yowza a little, New Area Rap a little. Just entertain me! Boston- In Westminster I was sitting low and I thought boston was boring. In allentown I sat high. and I get it, really nice show The music is growing on me. Crown- Last year most people loved Crown. I was one of the few who didn't . This year I think they are great. In Westminster Crown had a few amp problems before the show. It took 125 thousand 6 hundred minutes to fix. But, I loved their music their staging and their guard. I wish them luck. Crossmen- I am happy with this years addition of Crossmen. Im pulling for them to make finals. I love the raidio station thing they do. Spirit- I saw them low in Westminster. But I really heard them. What Sound!!! Magic- Needs work still very dirty. They first half of the show is cleaner than the second half.
  16. My friend Assia ( Sexyguardcap ) Will no longer post on DCP. Assia was confronted by a DCP member at a show. She had to call the police. There are fools out there so be careful.
  17. Add to my list 1980 Madison Scouts. I had made the baritone line. (1st bari) Went to all the camps up until June. learned all the music and most of the drill. And, My parents break up! So my dream dies. I can't march. I end up working part of the summer, then ended up marching second tour with The Oakland Crusaders. Which was great too.
  18. 10 snares 6 tenors 5 bass Higher level of difficulty More Ticks ( mistakes for the younger veiwer ) One thing though, It's great to see a large snare line again! It takes me back to the east of the 80's North Star, Crossmen, 27th Lancers, Bridgemen, Garfield
  19. I'm a Cadet but I would really love to march: 2003 Cavaliers for the difficulty. 1988 Devils for the fun. 1987 Cadets for the love. First baritone
  20. Some of the biggest offenders are over 17. I hope DCP doesn't become another RAND.
  21. Cadets-1987 & 2005 Devils- 1988 & 1976 Cavaliers- 2003 & The Planets ( 1st one) Phantom- 2005 & 1993 SCV-1980 & 1978
  22. I think The Cavaliers are going back to the roots of their past success. 2000-2003 We saw a steady progression of drill design. I thought 2003 Cavaliers was the most amazing visual show I've seen in the 2000's 2004 in my opinion was a very good but safe show. I thought Blue Devils should have won. 2005 There is nothing wrong with being the second best drun corps in the whole world. 2006 They are going back to the roots of their success. I hope they pull it off. I would love to see a five way battle for the top spot.
  23. Thanks for your reply, I'm pulling for the bluecoats. they did great tonight. I'm impressed that they've realized their week spots from last year and fixed them this year, just like the top corps do. drums and colorguard are really helping their score this year. I think the off topic people should just have a "let's make fun of hopkins" thread, heck, I'll join in. but on threads like this I kind of want to share in the enthusiasm of the close competition between the two corps.
  24. Eveen though i'm a former Cadet, I am happy that the bluecoats have put themselves in position to knockoff some of the big boys. It's cool to hear reasons why people think the bluecoats will do it tonight. When the thread goes way off topic like this it sucks. I wish the bluecoats luck. We need another top corps!
