  1. No one really mentioned 1982, my 2nd favorite. The immense change from 1981 and their amazing performance in Montreal, that is when I fell in love with the Garfield Cadets and knew I had to march with them. It took me a few years to get there, but I was lucky enough to be part of my number one favorite 1987 show.
  2. Section 140, Row 1, will sell for $60, can meet you at quarterfinals email brendafrazier10@gmail.com if interested.
  3. Great seats for both shows on the aisle. If interested email brendafrazier10@gmail.com I will be at Lisle
  4. Great seats on the aisle. Will sell at a discount, email me at brendafrazier10@gmail.com
  5. Great seats (aisle) for both Cedarburg and Madison. Email brendafrazier10@gmail if you're interested, willing to take a few bucks off and won't ask for the processing fee I paid.
  6. Anyone know where they are staying? Not mentioned on their website.
  7. Ideally would like sections 139, 140, 141, 128, 142, or close to that. Please email me at smithbrenda2011@gmail.com Thank you :-)
  8. I have a few thoughts from attending this TOC show as well. As I had a seat right on the aisle, in row 20, which was about half-way up, it was unfortunate to see so many senior citizens struggling to get up the steps. Why do they, or the people in their party, insist on purchasing seats that clearly are too high up for them to attempt? I had to realize this years ago when taking my mom to shows. Yes, it's much louder down low, but there is the added benefit of seeing the emotion on the kids' faces. The bathroom was like a dungeon, no moving air whatsoever, which can't be helped by the show coordinators but include me in the vote to move the show to DeKalb! Boylan is way too uncomfortable. Both Rockford and Middleton, WI, need to consider larger venues so they can sell more tickets. It's so interesting that Lucas Oil is way too big for a finals crowd, and then these two stadiums are way too small.
  9. I was a Friends member for a few years back in the early 2000's when the ticket orders for the next year's finals were due in February of that same finals year. I had to drop out when they wanted the orders placed in October of the previous season. The season had just ended and I was still paying off my summer travels. It worked out much better when the money was due in February; I could use my tax return or job bonus, whatever, I just had more time to save up for it. They have never sought me out to find out why I didn't renew my membership. It's ridiculous what they are charging now in these times for tickets alone in Lucas Oil, much less to be a Friend of DCI.
  10. Southwind 2000 -- they year they played the ballad from Legends of the Fall, which was beautiful
  11. No Countdown in Mequon, WI. They couldn't get it going, they said it was weather-related. There were only about 30 people in attendance. Some were going to try to rush to the other theatre in the Milwaukee area, but that would have taken at least 1/2 hour in a thunderstorm and it was already almost 8:00 by the time they refunded everyone's money. I have all the shows on DVD, but I really wanted to see the previews of the new Regiment, Scouts and Surf shows.
  12. I agree, I would have liked to see how the show progressed since the beginning of the season, and I especially would have liked to see JD Shaw's pre-finals performance speech to the corps. That's been a part of the On the Road DVDs in the past. However, I did love the drumline segments, thanks for that!
  13. BRING BACK THE JAZZ, BONES. ITS WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU!
  14. JD Shaw is a genius. Does anyone know what year(s) he marched with Phantom? I believe he was in Sky Ryders first.
  15. I hope there will be an On the Road DVD also, that is a must have for all fans!!!!
  16. What about Bacchanale? An updated version could rock the house as much or more than Spartacus!!! Congrats Phantom, well deserved and it's about time!
  17. My regret: I marched Colts in 1985, Troopers in 1986 and then Garfield in 1987. What's to regret, right?? Well, I had three years left to march but the dues increased so much from 1987 to 1988, I thought I would just take one year off but then I met a guy and thought marching wasn't such a big deal anymore. Living in Milwaukee, WI, I REALLY regret that I did not at least go down to Rockford and age out with Regiment, who is now my absolute favorite corps. I have often have dreams that I am marching again and performing and if only I could go back now!
  18. I agree with skewerz. My brother has cancer and I would like to enjoy drum corps and not have to think about his situation for awhile!
  19. I was able to see Phantom this past Sunday and Monday nights and I am more in love with them this year than ever! I only hope they just perfect what they have now and not make too many changes mid-season like they did last summer. JD Shaw has outdone himself with a gorgeous horn book and the drum line is incredible! I can't wait to see them in Normal on Friday! Thank you Phantom Regiment for remaining a true drum corps and best of luck this summer!!! Brenda Frazier Colts 1985 Troopers 1986 Garfield Cadets 1987
  20. Jordi, I remember that, I hope Dave does too. Do you remember my sad impersonation of Pee Wee Herman? Dave, God bless and keep the faith! Brenda Manske Frazier Milwaukee, WI Garfield Cadets 1987 ****************************** Dave, I'm so glad to hear that things went well. I'm praying for you. Do you still have a cassette tape of me singing country songs for rookie talent? Jordi
  21. Plus it looks like we don't get the free top 12 cd anymore either!
  22. Did anyone who is a Friend of DCI get their complimentary CD's yet? I guess since they are complimentary we have to wait a little longer ?!!?
  23. I don't have the CD with me, but I'm going to try to recall and say they started with Festive Overture and went into parts of the 1996 show, Dvorak's #9, I think Nessum Dorma and then Elsa's Procession. Forgive the typos!
  24. I was able to buy the CD in Murf. It's great, it has the 2007 pre-season recording, then the finals recording from 06, 05 and 04 and then a few concert pieces. Well worth the $20! Thanks Regiment!
