No one new will be in finals again this year. I think that there will be some movement in the top 12 that might surprise some people though.

Are they wearing a 3/4 sleeve? Is that only percussion or is it for the entire corps? If so, not sure if gloves will be in the works again this year. One of the first things that came to mind was this is almost an inversion of Glassmen's 97-02 uniforms

I like it...but I wouldn't call it a uniform. I think this would fit under the catagory of a "costume". Any idea what the shako is going to look like?

I wish troop would have a yellow cummerbund that connects the sash and the drop down sash. I think it would give it a more complete look. If someone has photoshop and could add that to the picture for a visual that would be great!

I understand that their issue was more or less a financial one, but most corps who make it into finals can bring in more bodies for auditions. Would those extra bodies (aka money) have helped?

The thread "What are the best corps to never make finals? " got me to thinking. Would Southwind still be around today if they had made it into finals in 2000? That .2 could have changed the corps history complete. What are your thoughts?

It seems to me that since about 2004 the Glassmen would the biggest surprise to make finals, or atleast in the eyes of DCP members. Every year in "prediction" threads, the Glassmen are always the corps that gets the boot in most predictions. Yet, every year they are in finals. This year is no exception in the prediction thread and I'm sure the Glassmen will "surprise" many folks yet again.

Did the soloist from last year age out?

I think its kind of cool how the light from the girls right hand forms a shield!

I agree...I enjoyed the bottom 6 as a whole much more than the top as a whole! Granted there were a few in the top 6 that I enjoyed and and one in the bottom 6 that I didn't.

What's the difference between "booing" a corps and calling them "boring" or a "hot dog" corps? Is that not just as bad or more of a slap in the face to the corps members? At least when you "boo" the corps...you've actually watched the product...when you get up during a "hot dog corps" you haven't even given them a chance. Some of the biggest "anti- booers" posters on here are the biggest offenders of calling corps "boring" or "hot dog" corps. One is just more vocal than the other, yet both sting just a harshly!

should be a dog fight no matter the outcome! I think this grouping will be the most interesting to watch come finals week.

I think you will find that most kids who march in DCI are a special breed of students. They will take what they learned in corps and apply it in their schooling. Hard work, dedication, working through challenges are just a few things that this summer has taught them that they can carry over into the classroom. As far as missing "band camps" at the high school and college level...I think they will be just fine. Most corps members learn 30-40 pages of drill in a day. Whatever their programs back home throw at them....it'll be a cake walk.

9-12 will be the most exciting to watch come finals in my opinion! Although, 2-5 will be interesting for sure

I can definitely see why they are going to change them.....the bleeding of the pink undershirts was/is pretty bad! You can actually see it has stained the flags as well! Are they getting totally new ones (design wise) or just new pants so they look sharp for finals week?
