Oh wow, I had no idea that Gaines was doing the drill this year. Well....that got my ears raised like a German Shepard! His work with Cavies during his tenure was unbelievable and Vanguard will definitely benefit from it this year. Can't wait to see them!

Does anyone know the camp schedule this weekend? I'll be driving out to watch them and I cannot freaking wait!

I hate to be "that guy" but I personally don't see a non-blue top 3 happening anytime soon. Politics are still very alive and well in DCI and lucky for the "blue's" that are in discussion, they develop great shows with all of the elements that the new DCI asks for. I'm right there with you regarding it being pretty awesome to see the top 3 being shaken up (it's about time for goodness sake) but realistically I can't say that I'll see that anytime soon. Hopefully I'll be eating my words and kicking myself in the arse come August! I do however think that BAC will be right up there with the top 3 this year if not 2019.

WHOA!! Chad Pence is replacing Brad Toth!! That's huge. I worked with both of them during my Magic of Orlando days. Is Brad out or just filling another role? He did some great things with the brass at BK. Chad Pence is amazing and has a great resume. Marched at Star of Indiana and aged out at Cadets 1998. He has great experience and is a smart guy and will get great things out of that brass but Brad also had the same. Was amazing at this time at Cadets between 1999-2001 as a soprano and drum major.

Forgive me if this has been discussed and if it has been, please kindly direct me elsewhere. I got into a discussion with a friend and we couldn't agree on who writes BD's battery music. I always thought that Scott Johnson was the caption head and writes the snare and bass music while Dave Glyde writes the tenor music. Any Devs whether current or alumni that can clear this up? Thanks!

Great season for BAC. Can't wait to see them come finals.

Does anyone think that BAC will get that 5th place spot? Granted, 2 points behind Cavaliers will be tough to pass but anything is possible. Is there really anything else that they can do at this point besides clean.....which they are already pretty clean.
