Honestly, why does this matter? It is small show on Monday night in Virginia. Come finals night....it's a different story.

DCI needs to set up guidelines for behavior. Nothing will change until DCI does this. Even a "Suggested Behavior During DCI shows" would be a step in the right direction.

Performing a task, and performing a task while injured are two separate things.

I agree. Everybody should heed their doctor's advice, especially relationship to someones eyesight. Marching with an eye injury is both risky for the performer and the rest of the corps members. She could have easily lost her balance or positioning, and harmed herself or other members of the corps. This type of reckless behavior should not be applauded. It creates an environment where the "suck it up" mentality (as wvu80 has said) triumphs over the safety of ALL members. Safety needs to be the number one concern for both the performers and staff.

This data is so subjective that I could never consider it valid. I tried to recreate your results using the same parameters, but I couldn't. For example, Blue Devils: Your Data: 257 seconds playing and marching My Data : 352 seconds playing and marching Cadets: Your Data: 406 seconds playing and marching My Data : 388 seconds playing and marching I got close with the Cadets, not sure what you did with BD. hmmmmm.

I would love to see an "Official" DCI airline. This could help solidify the Indy venue. I know DCI had a special with AirTran earlier this year, but I'm no huge fan of the airline (After ValueJet folded, it turned into AirTran). Southwest perhaps?

I wouldn't wish that on the Cadets, or any corps for that matter. Just sayin'.....
