  1. Correct as to Star. It was their circus show in 87 and the long tiger split up into individual flags. This was during Ritual Fire Dance/Sabre Dance. That was a great (if cheesy) show for an up-and-coming corps.
  2. My answer would be 1975 Philly and Tim Moxley. Yeah, there was video produced of the 1974 championships but it was the top 3 only and I don't recall it being broadcast at the time.
  3. It might work if somebody wanted to do Stravinsky's The Firebird again!
  4. Besides, he would be a bit overage wouldn't he? Oh wait, that's another thread.
  5. And very starry too. Sleeping outside and still 90 degrees at midnite.
  6. Not good news for the Taliban. They better not break ranks. Seriously, prayers that all of our troops make it home safely.
  7. I'm not getting into the discussion of what is the proper amount of the penalty. However, one of the major problems with our society today is that too many things that were wrong in the past go on without any penalty. High penalties should be in place to send the proper message. And yes, there can be exceptions made.
  8. Nothing beats Horlick Field right? Marched it 2x in juniors and 2x with Kilties. Great crowds, fantastic setting.
  9. We paid $25 for our "local" show [two hours away] this year. There were six corps there.
  10. Another Bocook composition is one of my favorites "At Dawn They Slept" which tells a musical story of the Pearl Harbor attack.
  11. Right Mike. Always gotta make sure you notice what the advertiser wants you to. Those are some awesome shoes aren't they?
  12. Mike, I understand the sentiment [pre-edit]. I was fortunate enough to see the show in Oklahoma City about 7 years ago. This tour is much closer to home in Alma, AR and we can't afford the tickets now either. If we were, I would gladly purchase a set of tickets there for your family so you had the opportunity to see the show too. Best wishes.
  13. Well, if it is the parrot will it be screaming in the middle of the announcement?
  14. I remember sitting it the stands that evening vividly. The Madison FD tribute at the end of the show still sends chills down my spine.
  15. So, I'm a little late posting this but I haven't heard anywhere what happened to Arkansas Thunder. I know they were having some problems getting their show out but the last I heard on their Facebook page was that they were going to Rochester. Just hoping that they didn't run into problems on the road. Anyone hear anything? WTG Kilties WWBD
  16. And thank God that DCA is still outdoors albeit at the whims of nature.
  17. I have that affliction too. But oftentimes I am consumed with remembering what to forget.
