  1. Looks like thst is exactly what they did based on tge original schedule.
  2. Not what you want to leave as the last movement the judges see.
  3. The ending side to side was a mess. Not sure what happened other than not a single straight line.
  4. I'm sorry, that didn't appear to be a good run for Madison. Am I mistaken?
  5. If it is still available today as a monthly purchase, go for it. You get a lo of shows over the next month. Just make sure you cancel using their online cancellation form immediately after finals or you will be billed another month.
  6. Make sure you use their "ONLINE CANCELLATION" when you cancel. They charged me last year for an additional month even though I contacted them for cancellation before the next month. They state that the cancellation "MUST" be done with the online form.
  7. I finally get to see this show live next Thursday. In fact, I will get to see them live at all four shows in Texas as well as seeing them here in the DC area and in Allentown. What a great year for drum corps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Give it time, they will be . Along with woodwinds so someone can finally do a Jethro Tull Show.
  9. One week until I fly down for the Texas Triangle. With all of the strong corps this year, I don't believe I could have picked a better year to sweat my b&*#%s off. Who else is gong to all four shows over the five days?
  10. Cavaliers sitting on an island. I seem to remember that happening before. Maybe 1980? The funny thing is the same corps is behind them as it was in 1980.
  11. Ok, first pizza for me in a month last night. Wife is on the Optavia plan and I am kind of on it by osmosis. She made a pizza with a cauiflower crust that wasn't terrible. I'm not sure I could call it pizza, but it worked.
  12. This could be the way some corps are adapting to the rule changes for judges. The risk is the timing issue of not having the pit allow the rest of the corps "play-thru" the pit. I noticed this issue during the first week as multiple corps were having significant timing issues.
  13. And that is my point. I can't call them uniforms if they aren't uniform. Hence, the use of the word "costume" in my statement.
  14. Did the corps do the Baltimore Magical Mystery Tour for the fourth?
  15. I'm beginning to truly love the Bluecoats show. I feel like I am watching a well choreographed concert. I must give credit for the use of costumes that are not consistent. The fact that no two are the same hides the inconsistent choreography well. I'll go hide in my corner now.

  17. I do this every year at Allentown. It is a WISCONSIN TRADITION to tailgate with brats and beer.
  18. Still reading this in radio voice and enjoying every word. Thank you so very much for doing this. Your reports tend to me more objective than others and I appreciate that more than you will ever know.
  19. It is a mindset issue. We have schools that respond with high expenses or other difficulties for a multitude of reasons. Corps need to approach schools requesting housing as an opportunity to teach and give an opportunity for the band programs to even make a buck or two. I have visited many rehearsal sites all around the country where I would gladly have paid a couple bucks for a Gatorade or water while I am watching a corps rehearse. It can be a win/win if approached the right way. I know it has been for us for many years.
  20. That all depends on how you work with the high schools. Over the past several years, I have hosted multiple corps and worked with the school administration to have a successful stay for both the corps and the school. The approach is to use it as a learning experience for the students of the high school. When students have an opportunity to see how their early marching days can advance to "Marching Music's Major League" they learn and become motivated to improve. Most years, we didn't charge the corps anything and only a few times did we charge just to cover salary for the custodians if they weren't already scheduled to work that day. We also worked with the corps to have "Open Rehearsals" where we sold concessions and actually made some money for the band program. On a few occasions, the corps even opened up their souvenir tent and made some money. It is all in how you approach the administration in the first place. Once you get a good consensus, corps don't get hit with the major expense of housing.
  21. The wife is asleep upstairs and these commercials keep getting me in trouble.
