Tough break because the weather has been pretty nice. Oh, well. At least we don’t worry about droughts here!

Storm clouds incredibly dark. Whew, nasty front moving through here.

Well, no time to sit around on the Davenport watching the VHS player. I’ll be too busy in my dungarees working in the field listening on my Sony Walkman cassette player. Nope, give me that beautiful Crown horn line, your bad#$$ Troopers, and those city boy Cadets! Now, that’s living!!! 😀

Why keep discussion threads separate between Open and World Class? This is DrumCorpsPlanet after all. By having a singular, “DCP Discussions”, perhaps there would be more posts related to Open Class. I’m sure there are other ways to categorize circuit topics than having two distinct page groups.

This year, placement be darned, I’m hopeful the following are rewarded: Phantom- Beautiful staging, crisp movement, and a gorgeous sound. Cadets- Reminiscent of the classic years I grew to love this corps. Best story arc of the year. Troopers- Sort of a dark side of Troop, interesting look and fresh twist on old sounds and look.

That ANY of the top 3 shows this year will make my top drum corps playlist - hopeful, but doubtful.

Allentown is a throw back. Similar to the old US Open in Marion, OH, Allentown is vintage drum corps. Tons of corps and a down-home, community event. I have always enjoyed Allentown as much for the community atmosphere as much as the show itself

How about a BAC BD tie going into Indy? Intriguing!!!
