  3. Exactly what I was about to say. Biggest surprise - Crown, but not in a good way.
  4. Thank goodness, because scratching our heads is exactly what all of us watching were doing last night. We all thought that can't possibly be THE ending, can it?
  5. Interesting. I usually stream it through the FloMarching app on the Roku, but for one show (I can't remember which one) the feed was horrible and it was actually better pulling it up on my laptop and casting it to our Chromecast. I've since gone back to Roku and the app with very few problems.
  6. I sure hope that's what they mean. I have about a dozen people coming over for what has become a DCI finale party annual tradition at my place, ever since streaming started.
  7. Is this the "official" NightBEAT thread? I couldn't find another one.
  8. No issues with Flo so far tonight. *runs to find some wood to knock* In other news, did the Troopers run into a tarp clearance sale?
  9. Is it too much to hope that Flo has their #### together tonight?
  10. 2016 - Bluecoats 2015 - Crown 2014 - Bluecoats 2013 - Crown 2012 - Crown 2011 - Crown was my favorite just from a fun standpoint. But this was also my favorite Cadets show in a while. 2010 - Cavaliers 2009 - Crown 2008 - Phantom 2007 - Crown
  11. Oh arriving early to a drum corps contest is routine for us - even when we took the MARTA in ATL and didn't have to worry about parking. Gotta allow plenty of time at the souvie stands!
  12. That's good to know too. I have a handicap tag on my car so I figured I wouldn't have a parking issue, but in case they are all taken, at least there will still be parking close by. Thanks for the info!
  13. I did see that. Thanks! I was just going to avoid even bringing a cushion if I didn't have to. I like to travel as light as possible.
  14. This helps tremendously! We're in the middle section 5 right off the 50 so it looks like we will have the nice seats. Thanks so much for this!
  15. Does anyone know what the stadium seats are like? Do they have arms and backs like the now defunct Georgia Dome, or are they just long metal bleachers? We're trying to decide whether we need to bring stadium seats or not and was hoping someone on here might have been in that stadium already. I know they have the clear bag policy, but I couldn't find anywhere on their website that described the seats. Thanks in advance!

  17. UGH! My FloMarching streaming was doing just fine up until Genesis. Now comes the buffering issues. :-(
  18. I finally saw this show live last night, and I'm sorry, but I just can't get on board with the vocalist. I've tried, believe me, because I hate that I don't love a Crown show. As you said, they are not getting rid of her and they will have to make it work. I have a few suggestions to make it better. Go ahead and feature her during the ballad (ideally cut her off after the first verse but I know that won't happen). But after the ballad, take her out of the front and center location for the rest of the show. She is distracting. Put her on the sidelines like all the other vocalists in Crown's previous shows (EMC2 for example). Staying on the podium front and center after the ballad, especially with all those flailing arm movements, takes away from the show. As much as I wanted to "ignore" her and focus on the rest of the MMs, I kept getting distracted by her. I know she's only doing what she's been told to do, but it's not working. The other two folks I were with thought exactly the same thing. If she HAS to stay front and center, give her something else to do. The over-dramatic arm reaching, throwing both arms wide over and over doesn't do anything for the show. But I prefer her going to the sidelines and getting rid of that center piece after the ballad completely, if she has to stay after the ballad. You can start throwing rotten produce now.
  19. Not sure what row you were on, but I had to be directly behind you. I was row A.
