Allentown Housing Urgent!

I know I’m in the wrong section but is Peckville flooded, too? Because Jim is going out there Friday. -
Allentown Housing Urgent!
Terri Schehr replied to M Ryan's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Knoebels and Hersheypark are both closed due to flooding. If this rain doesn’t let up soon, they’re going to need an ark for housing. -
I know about the DCI link. Sent them something.

Two great shows tonight and we get squat from flomarching. Is it me or are we getting less streams than last year? -

It was in Oregon or Washington. I remember reading it, too. -

True. My last finals show was 8/21. -
I admire your confidence in these corps policing themselves. I’m sorry to say that I don’t share that confidence. Do they even check those online whistleblower forms?
-
Bring it, BAC! You’re closing the gap.

Whatever happened to Poppycock? He was annoying yet entertaining. -

Trust me. My comments about Indy will be nonexistent. -
After 2006. A long time ago.

Sigh. Geez, am I sorry I ever said anything. I won’t make that mistake again. This is harder to get rid of than a bad rash. -

I just saw it on amazon. Maybe I’ll check it out. This thread is as dead as a door nail. -

Jim is on his way to LA for business. Maybe there will be someone periscoping tonight. If not, a chick flick on amazon. -
This young person endured some major bullying. It breaks my heart to read this: https://www.reddit.com/r/drumcorps/comments/91j23w/i_didnt_enjoy_my_time_at_my_corps_and_i_dont_know/?st=JK04QX8Q&sh=f033c553

I don’t believe there is any “good natured” antisemitism. They may not realize it but that kind of crudeness cuts people to the bone. It would wear on me very quickly. I would simmer quietly for awhile and then the pot would boil over. And nobody wants that.
-
I’ve never heard about that. I wonder if it was for a similar reason?
-
Never.
-
Yes. It has to be someone who is absolutely independent and they are comfortable with sharing. This is very tough for young people. They feel isolated and alone. Even not so young people experience this feeling of isolation. Someone needs to be their voice. .

It’s alternately sickening and infuriating to read what happened to this young person. There needs to be an independent member advocate who isn’t beholden to anyone. Someone whose only interest is the safety and welfare of the members.

Would it kill you to play soft?

And when they turned backfield, they played even louder! -
Congratulations, Cadets!
