DCI event vs. U.S. Open Tennis = quite the difference. As I stated earlier, there are organizations out there such as MLB teams that can turn around and offer tickets just like that after a game is rained out. Not as simple for DCI or your average show organizer.

it stinks, but i guess it's the price we pay for loving an outdoor activity. insurance on a ticket would be great but i'm not sure how feasible the idea is for a show organizer vs. say a major league ballclub that has the workforce to turn around and offer tickets to a future game in a matter of minutes. i'd also be more likely to agree that insurance is a better option if we had actual figures on the cost to the organizer/ticket holder instead of throwing out random numbers like we do here on a daily basis. it's good to dream, but maybe someone in the business could take the extra step here and research the possible costs of insuring a major event such as a DCI regional. it would be highly beneficial to the DCP/DCI community if we had a professional itemize actual costs of such an idea to put the matter to rest or even better, actual evidence to propose to DCI.

your theory is flawed in that you have increased crown's scores while not counting for the fact that cavies would surely increase as well.

problem is cavies are 1st in guard and 1st in percussion. fixing your own issues doesn't necessarily lead to a drop off by another corps.

i really enjoyed this year's show, the entrance really set the tone. very well done.

glee pretty much does tons of covers of others music. my guess is it would be pricey to get the rights to several songs, harder than it would be to sway a musician for the rights to a song if you're a top tv show.
