quick thoughts: BD #### good, but, not as goosd as Cavies Bluecoats...eh thought they should have been closer to BD. SCV...thought they should have been closer to Coats. Crown...loudest hornline of the night, should be closer to the pack above them. drumline is not as bad as the numbers say. BK...good but boring as ####. Madison...good, nice ideas, but left me flat. I really liked Esperanze...they moved really well. BUcs seemed a little flat, but i think they did well. Bridgemen were worth every penny

one question...why in the world do you have your sound guy 10 feet from the pit? to truly do it right, he should be yards away

it is a vision over programmed, leaving no one exactly a clue what to follow. so much emphasis on the props and characters, yet at times staged in ways that makes it really hard to see them. given the constant amp issues, i'd say if Hop really wants to make a statement, bag the amps stuff and let the corps shine thru. well, once the corps gets cleaned. i think the corps execution is suffering for all of the extra BS

Franklin field sucks logistically. and, tho i do love JBC, it isnt working anymore. my hunch is it moves north and joins all the other regionals as being domed events

if they ditched the narration, this show could make a run at finals. it covers up some really nice music, and when the corps is backfield growing louder, the narrators all but shout

they need more brass. very overbalanced at times, especially with the snare tuning

just got home. review on sunday. cavies...#### me. phantom...wow. that drumline...wow. total show wow. cadets...um...i'm underwhelmed. there's a good corps in there, i just couldn't hear it over the singer and microphone pops from the too loud speakers Boston wow loved Gmen...go Mike Dooley Magic a lot better than i read Blue Stars...great show when you turn the mics off and that's just a tease.

well as far as money and admin, this is one corps i can see being ready. they are very tight with a buck, and plan ahead financially. most of the admin team has been together for a while and have a handle on things. in that regard, i see them being in better shape than some current D1 corps

i cant see Surf going full time right away.
