WHERE ARE THE RECAPS
stickman882002 replied to BD020304's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
They broke them down during the Cinecast, Cavies win GE, BD with Visual, and Phantom wins Music. Thats all I remember. They didn't show subcaptions either. -

It's probably gonna be a while so hold your horses. -

The only loss in visual in Columbus was about 3 seconds of Cap Reg's closer (Which made the hometown crowd very unhappy). The audio skipped once per show for some reason, other than that everything was fine. -

Nothing new from Massillon to tonight in Columbus. -
Capital Regiment Housing on Sunday
stickman882002 replied to oldsoprano's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Im pretty sure Cap Reg is housed at Walnut Ridge H.S. on the southeast side of town. About 10 minutes from where I live. I'll have to check into where the other corps are being housed. -

Seems like all of us who were there are all on the same page. Probably the most electric atmosphere at a DCI show that I've been to. (Never been to finals) Seems like each corps totally gave their best performences of the year, top to bottom. I was glad that they switched intermission. I don't think The Cadets have ever performed before intermission ever. Great review. -

Blue Knights' Star Trek show was pretty sweet. Anything Jerry Goldsmith is great on the field. -

Did I mention that there were shows in BOTH Wichita and Wichita Falls last night? -

Hey now I do believe there was a show in Wichita KS, along with the show in Wichita Falls TX. :P But seriously, Cap Reg is closing that gap quite nicely on the Blue Stars. :D -
Nice jump for Cap Reg. I was very impressed with their APD from yesterday's performence and hopefully they will begin their "Post San Antonio Push" like they have in recent years.

Can't wait to see how far Cap Reg will go. They're in a great position to pick up a few spots when Madison rolls around.

I must say that it's nice to see SCV on the verge of the Top 5 :) . Hopefully they can inch their way in by the time Madison rolls around. :) -
It's gotta be very discouraging no matter how much the staff tells the kids to disregard them. This kind of thing happens.

Cap Reg is moving foward nicely, stepped up their visual but lacked a little in music. None the less they're improving. -

My apoligies. It was late and I was cranky with seeing many other posts so I jumped the gun. I just got ants in my pants to see a show. :) -

How about a constructive review? <**> <**> -

I was there to watch Cap Reg do their full uniform run through tonight, and I must say I was very impressed all the way around with their performence. Very nice sound, right as I pulled in the parking lot I heard them warming up and my drum corps taste buds were instantly salivating. They have a full 130 members for the first time ever and they can put out some sound. Definetly a bump-up in difficulty with the music, and very entertaining throughout the show. Couldn't tell much drill, but there appeared to be much demand. Very very nice drum book. Guard seemed to have a good grasp on their stuff (I'm not much of a guard guy) Tonights teaser was such torture because I won't see another live performence until mid july. But look foward to another very entertaining Capital Regiment product, and a very well executed one as well. And their new unis are sweet.

Good thing i'm only a 10 minute drive away. I can't wait to see their show. Very much looking foward towards another great Capital Regiment show.
