Only advice my dad gave me after college graduation (Dec 79) was "Shave that #### thing off before you go on interviews". I had a wussy little mustache for years...shaved it so it would come in better, and it never did...now I have a goatee...the Mrs. said "shave it!" I did, she hated it...now I CAN'T shave it without incurring her wrath! I didn't like the beard so much - just hated shaving. What most people who know me don't know is that the beard and hair were a result of a promise I made myself in the military, i.e. that I wouldn't cut a hair for a year after I got out - the picture on my profile is from one year after I separated, sitting in the stands with the Sunrisers during a break. A promise is a promise, right? i've had a beard for over 40 years. i actually grew one when i was 15 during the summer and had to shave it for school. it's never been a problem......except it's completely grey now. but it goes well with my bald head. Mousey grey on the sides of the head with lot of skin tone up top. What the Hades, will be 56 this summer and Tuesday have my second trip to have ye olde butt check (colonoscopy).
