ducttapedgerbil
ooOOoo...a borg joke, how clever . Its funny that just a month ago I was saying how unimpressed i was with the description of the cadet's show, yet here i am, mindlessly supporting them again. It could be worse - at least i dont taste any vomit ...give it some time

kusankusho
Yeah, I know...it never hurts to try. There is just no substitution for actually experiencing the change in Drum Corps over the last 20-some-odd years. There will always be those that think change for the sake of change is a good thing and that he activity/product must always change. See - your mistake there was that you used a little sarcasm, a little humour, and the literal translation police like to jump all over that when they don't agree with your POV. I've been nailed on that too. Just file it away for future reference. One of the four agreements is something like "be impeccible with your words" - it's good advice for DCP..... I use sarcasm more often than not, but when something I say doesnt make sense, or is meant to be a joke, I dont feel the need to defend it as truth. The problem in this case is that neither of us let it die, and now you aren't helping, so go to your room

There is just no substitution for actually experiencing the change in Drum Corps over the last 20-some-odd years. There will always be those that think change for the sake of change is a good thing and that he activity/product must always change. Or those who have seen and heard the changes and happen to think that have improved drum corps shows.

sburstall
Oh God - here we go again..... Oh God is right. In the group that Mike hangs out with they would say that. But we know that holds more weight than those who do disagree with him.
glory
Oh God - here we go again..... Why didn't you say that when he posted that nutty untruth about "change for change's sake"? HH
kusankusho
Why didn't you say that when he posted that nutty untruth about "change for change's sake"?HH I'm not so sure that's a nutty untruth, that's why. Besides, for a while there I thought the conversation was wrapping up, but it looked like MikeD was afraid it might end on a note that questions change. The "get the last word in even if I wasn't in much of this conversation" ethic won't allow that. Hence - Oh God here we go again.....
